The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced a Request for Letters of Interest for its Sustainable Communities Building Blocks Program.  This program will offer technical assistance to 20 communities by applying tools such as audits of walking opportunities, parking, land use codes, as well as commuter benefits, complete streets and other devices.

Communities are expected to be selected by early March, and the technical assistance will be completed by June 2011. 

Letters of interest must be submitted no later than February 23, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
