Under contract to the Federal Highway Administration, the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) Research Foundation is conducting research on regional transportation planning practices. As part of this research, we are seeking responses to an online scan from all regional development organizations and rural transportation planning organizations. Please share information about your work by responding to the questions posted at www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22BUDR5NYF9.

This information will assist with NADO’s ongoing efforts to document the significance of transportation to regional economic development, as well as to understand the centrality of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) as a valuable process for working with stakeholders and identifying a vision for regional planning efforts and how the CEDS can be linked with other efforts.

Your responses will also assist us in understanding how regional development organizations are engaged in measuring their efforts in planning, which is an issue area of interest to federal agencies and may be a significant issue in the future of the nation’s surface transportation programs.

Access the online scan at www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22BUDR5NYF9. It should take under 30 minutes to complete. To learn more about the research project or to share additional information, including regional planning documents, email transportation@nado.org or call NADO Senior Program Manager Carrie Kissel at 202.624.8829.
